Joshua is a Virginia and DC licensed attorney, having received his Bachelor of Science from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and his Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law in Coral Gables, Florida. While attending the University of Miami, Joshua began Athenos Sports and Entertainment LLC, where he advised professional athletes and media talent on navigating the business landscape and represented media talent in negotiations with TV affiliates. After law school, Joshua spent five years as a government contractor, working as a business management consultant for the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and as policy advisor for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). After working at USAID and CDC each for two years, Joshua became the General Counsel (GC) for a small science and technology company who provides support for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). AS GC, Joshua counseled corporate leadership and the employee workforce on, and served as their representative in, legal and compliance matters with third parties.

As a private practice attorney, Joshua has handled cases involving corporate contracts, litigation, and counseling, compliance assessments, contract review and drafting, life planning (wills, trusts, probate, estate administration, and elder care), domestic relations (divorce, custody, support, protective orders), consumer protection litigation, civil litigation, adult and juvenile criminal defense, landlord-tenant litigation, real estate litigation and transactions, traffic matters, and patient advocacy.

Joshua owns and operates Athenos Compliance Advisors LLC -- the naming of which is a nod to his Greek heritage and the goddess of Wisdom -- where he advises individuals and entities on regulatory compliance. Joshua is recently married and the couple is expecting their first child, a boy. In his spare time, Joshua is an avid consumer of history, philosophy, and fantasy fiction, and is a volunteer youth baseball coach.
