Dylan P. Matthews earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Richmond School of Law in 2009. During his final semester he gained invaluable hands on experience through an externship with the Richmond Public Defender's office, solidifying his passion for advocacy and litigation.
After passing the Virginia Bar, Mr. Matthews spent six years developing his skills at various law firms across the state, he developed a broad and versatile legal background across multiple practice areas. For the past two and a half years he has served at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), where he worked to uphold consumer rights and ensure fair financial practices.
Mr. Matthews joined Cornerstone Law Group PLLC in March 2025, where his practice focuses on criminal defense, family law and estate planning along with several other areas of practice. He is committed to providing strategic and result driven legal representation to his clients.
Mr. Matthews values time with his family and stays active, he is a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and actively competes in tournament's.
